Position: Electrical Lineworker Professional Lab Assistant; Part TimeLocation: Blairsville CampusDescription: Under general supervision, assist full time faculty to instruct students in a class A commercial truck driving skills in the Electrical Lineworker courses on the Blairsville Campus. Applicants should have effective use of oral and written communication skills and knowledge of current in-field procedures. Applicants should follow the guidance and instruction from the primary instructor for their daily schedule. The applicant will also assist in monitoring student progress in attaining goals and objectives. Position involves working up to 29 hours a week Monday through Thursday, may require occasional Friday work hours. Lab Assistant responsibilities are typically performed in a classroom/lab environment with the employee intermittently sitting, standing, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling for three (3) to four (4) continuous hours at a time. The employee frequently lifts lightweight objects up to 50 lbs. The work is performed in campus buildings and outdoors where the employee is occasionally exposed to cold or inclement weather. The exposure to dirt, dust, grease, machinery with moving parts, chemicals, and fumes is possible in the lab environment.
