You will be working in high-performing fast-paced team, reporting directly to the operations manager.ResponsibilitiesProduce components by assembling parts and subassembliesRead and decipher schematics, blueprints, drawings, and assembly instructionsPosition or align components and parts, either manually or with hoistsUse hand tools, power tools, or machines to assemble partsInsulate containers and cabinetsConduct quality control checksComply with and assist with the development of safety protocolsClean and maintain work areas and equipment including toolsPrepare work to be accomplished by studying part lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materialsPosition parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurementsAssemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassembliesVerify specifications by measuring completed componentsResolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resourcesKeep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairsMaintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsMaintain inventory by checking stock to determine supply levels, placing, and tracking orders, and verifying receipt of suppliesConserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job resultsDocument actions by completing production and quality formsOther duties as assignedRequirements And Skills3 years of experience as an electrical/mechanical assemblerExceptional understanding and ability to interpret technical documents such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints or other instructionsSolid understanding of all operating proceduresAble to use multimeterAbility to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds etc.)Good hand-eye coordinationFamiliarity with power tools and machinery is a plusCommunication and teamwork skillsCommitment to safety rulesApprenticeship or specialization is an asset, but not necessaryDepartment: ProductionThis is a full time position
