Job Description

Position Summary:The Technical Office Engineer plays a key role in supporting the engineering and sales functions by preparing accurate technical submittals, reviewing customer requirements, generating competitive pricing, and ensuring proposals align with both client specifications and internal manufacturing capabilities. This position requires a deep understanding of low-voltage electrical panel boards, as well as coordination with cross-functional teams to deliver technically sound and cost-effective solutions.Key Responsibilities:Analyze and interpret customer specifications, drawings, and tender documents to determine technical and commercial requirements.Prepare detailed technical proposals and compliance statements for electrical panel boards and related systems.Generate Bill of Materials (BoM) and coordinate with procurement and design departments to determine component availability and cost.Develop competitive pricing based on material, labor, overhead, and market conditions while maintaining target profit margins.Collaborate with the design and production teams to ensure feasibility of proposed solutions and adherence to engineering standards.Provide technical support to the sales team during pre- and post-sales activities, including customer presentations and clarification meetings.Maintain and update pricing databases, templates, and costing tools.Stay current with industry standards (e.g., IEC, NEC) and emerging technologies related to panel board design and manufacturing.Support cost-reduction initiatives and continuous improvement of pricing methodologies and technical documentation.Participate in project handover meetings to ensure smooth transition from estimation to execution phase.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.1+ years of experience in a technical office or estimation/pricing role, preferably in the electrical manufacturing industry.Knowledge of electrical panel board components and systems (e.g., MCC, DB, SMDB, MDB, ATS, and control panels).Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and layout drawings.Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with AutoCAD and ERP systems is a plus.Familiarity with electrical standards such as IEC.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team.
