We are hiring Production Technician in Dubai with my client - 6 months contract (Extendable) Job Title: Production Technician Years of experience: 3+Location: Al Quoz, DubaiJob Summary:Execute production work orders for manufacturing/assembly of low voltage modules and maintenance/service of low voltage/medium voltage equipment under the supervision of lead engineer or workshop manager following Company Procedures and Customers requirements in compliance with safety, technical and contractual requirements. Ensure continuous and efficient operation in accordance with volumes, schedules, procedures, drawings, and quality and safety standards and policies. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure electrical systems are safe, reliable, and compliant with industry standards.Key Responsibilities:1. Wiring & Assembly of Low Voltage ModulesInterpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.Assemble and wire control panels, switchgear, and other low voltage modules.Ensure proper labeling, routing, and termination of wires and cables.Perform functional testing of assembled modules before deployment.2. Inspection & TestingConduct routine and preventive inspections of low and medium voltage breakers.Use diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, insulation testers, thermal cameras) to assess equipment condition.Document inspection results and recommend corrective actions.3. Service & RepairTroubleshoot faults in low and medium voltage breakers and related systems.Replace or repair defective components such as contacts, coils, trip units, and wiring.Perform mechanical adjustments and calibration of breaker mechanisms.Ensure all repairs meet safety and performance standards.4. Compliance & SafetyAdhere to electrical safety standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NFPA 70E).Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Participate in safety audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.5. Documentation & ReportingMaintain accurate service records, inspection logs, and repair reports.Update technical documentation and BOMs (Bill of Materials) as needed.Communicate effectively with engineers, supervisors, and clients.Required Qualifications:ITI or Diploma Electrical Engineering or related field.Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in low/medium voltage systems.Strong knowledge of electrical components, breakers, and control systems.Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.Preferred Skills:Knowledge of PLCs and automation systems.Ability to train junior technicians and supervise small teams.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication and organizational abilities.Working Conditions:Work involves exposure to electrical hazards; PPE and safety training provided.Occasional overtime or weekend work during critical maintenance periods.
