Requisition TitleElectromechanical Lead EngineerLocation: St Bruno-de-Montarville, QCIndustry: Rail Transportation / Rolling StockPosition type: FTE/contractRole: Looking for a Electromechanical Design Lead responsible for leading the design, development, and validation of electrical architecture into conceptual and detailed electrical harness designs integrating electrical components and systems, mechanical cubicles for rolling stock projects.Key ResponsibilitiesUnderstand the technical specification requirements of customer and lead the definition, development, and review of electrical harness and mechanical cubicle designs.Validate the mounting definitions for electrical components (relays, circuit breakers, connectors, contactors, etc.) according to functional, environmental, and safety requirements.Conceptual and detail design of harness routing as per the train electrical architecture respecting the harness design principles.Detailed design of cable trays and supports considering manufacturability, serviceability and maintainability.Ensure designs comply with relevant railway standards (EN 50155, EN 50124, EN 50125-1, EN 45545-2, IEC 60529, EN 50261, etc.) and engineering processes.Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Systems, Installation, Electrical, Validation, and Industrialization) to ensure design consistency, manufacturability and integration.Support design reviews, verification activities, and technical documentation for manufacturing and testing.Responsible for electrical harness designs and mechanical cubicle deliverables as per baselines defined in the project.Drive standardization of components, weight optimization, best practices, and continuous improvement in design processes.Mentor and guide designers in cubicle design best practices and Return on experience (REX)Maintain healthy KPIs as defined by project requirements.Required Qualifications And Skills.Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering10+ years in electro-mechanical design and integration (rail or heavy industry preferred)Strong understanding of electrical architecture, schematics, functional and performance requirementFamiliar with railway norms, standards, and design assurance principles.Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.Tool : Catia V5 and PLM - Enovia
