**** IT Background ****Job Summary:The ELV "SCS" Engineer is responsible for supervising and managing on-site installation, testing, and commissioning activities related to low current systems and structured cabling networks. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical specifications, international standards, and company quality procedures.Job Description:Supervise installation of low current systems including: Structured Cabling Systems (Copper & Fiber Optic), CCTV Systems, Access Control Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, Data & Telecommunication NetworksReview shop drawings, layouts, and technical submittals before execution.Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors on-site.Ensure compliance with TIA/EIA standards and project specifications.Monitor daily site activities and ensure adherence to project schedule.Conduct site inspections and quality checks during installation.Supervise cable pulling, termination, labeling, testing, and commissioning activities.Ensure proper testing using Fluke testers (or equivalent) and submit test reports.Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and update project documentation.Identify and resolve technical issues on-site.Ensure strict compliance with HSE policies and safety standards.Support project handover documentation and as-built drawings preparation.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or related field.2–5 years of experience in low current systems & structured cabling projects.Strong knowledge of: UTP, STP, Fiber Optic Cabling - Racks, Patch Panels, Cable Management - Network infrastructure basics - TIA/EIA and BICSI standardsExperience in cable testing & certification (Fluke DSX or similar).Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and single-line diagrams.Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.Strong coordination and communication skills.Ability to manage site teams and subcontractors.Willingness to work on multiple sites if required.
