Job Description

The Employee Relations Manager is responsible for designing and executing employee relations strategies, policies, and programs that promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture, ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies, and effectively address employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary matters. This role acts as the main point of contact for all employee relations matters, ensuring fair treatment, resolving conflicts, and supporting a culture of trust, transparency, and organizational alignment.ResponsibilitiesManage and address employees' inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and other HR related matters. Resolve employees' issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner. Foster positive employee relations through effective communication. Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies.Develop and implement HR internal communications to ensure transparent and effective communication across the company.Manage implementation of change management processes through the development and execution of HR plans, programs and initiatives. Manage and conduct grievances and disciplinary issues to ensure a fair and non-biased resolution of employee misconduct and ensure proper documents and evidences are in place to support the investigations. Oversee and/or conduct internal investigations into allegations of non-compliance, discrimination, harassment, or other HR-related issues, ensuring thoroughness, objectivity, and confidentiality.Design and administer employee surveys to gather feedback and insights on employee experience, culture, and engagement, and utilize data to drive continuous improvement efforts. Measure and track employee engagement metrics to assess the effectiveness of engagement initiatives and identify areas for adjustment or improvement.Support the Head of HR in the development, implementation, and enhancement of HR policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Develop and deliver awareness sessions/programs to educate employees and managers on HR policies and procedures and ethical standards.Design and implement initiatives to recognize and reward employee contributions and achievements.Collaborate with other HR functions and other departments to assess organizational needs and identify areas for improvement in processes, policies, and practices to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee experience.Support the HR Management in preparing proposals for promotions, assess employee eligibility for salary increments, and recommend grade changes.Develop and conduct new joiners' orientation to facilitate their smooth integration into the company culture and familiarize them with organizational policies and procedures.Assist employees during the offboarding process. Gather feedback on their experiences, reasons for leaving, and suggestions for improvement. Use this feedback to identify trends and areas for enhancement in the organization's policies, practices, and culture.Ensure accurate and confidential records of employee relations cases, investigations, and outcomes, and prepare reports and analysis as needed for HR leadership and management.Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance and support on employee relations matters, including interpretation of policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.HR related post-Graduate Certification10 years of progressive experience in HR management or related roles, demonstrating expertise in developing and implementing strategies for workplace culture, employee engagement, and business growth. Knowledgeable in labor laws and regulations.Proven track record in change management processes, including the development and execution of HR plans and innovative initiatives to support organizational change effectively. Experience in policy development.Strong understanding of organizational behavior, change management principles, and employee relations best practices.Thorough understanding of UAE Employment Laws and regulations. High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate HR concepts in clear, concise manner to employees, managers, and other stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, credibility, and collaborative relationships with employees, and leaders across the company.
