Do you demonstrate resilience, maturity, reliability and honesty?Mō te tūnga | About the roleThe purpose of this role is to facilitate access to, and the coordination of, employment and related programmes in line with plans and interventions established for young people in our care. This work will focus on identifying, on a case-by-case basis, the potential of young people in residence and matching this with opportunities through local or national programming. The emphasis is on placement into opportunities that maximise employment, education and vocational training outcomes for the young person.Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bringKey requirements of the role include:Detailed knowledge and experience in providing a comprehensive range of employment products and servicesProven successful experience in working with service providers and other key stakeholders at a community levelThe ability to communicate complex ideas to a variety of audiences and build and maintain rapport with othersThe ability to focus on operational service delivery and development issuesCommitment towards positive outcomes for children, young people and their familiesA clean, current driver's license is essential and a willingness to drive the Ministry's vehiclesThe ability to anticipate and resolves problems making decisions based on sound risk management analysis.Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture Nōu te rourou | What's in it for youOranga Tamariki offer an impartial remuneration package, Salary starting at $68,371-$75,501, annual progression for experience through tenure.
