About the RoleOur client is seeking a mid-level Energy Analyst to sit at the intersection of data, markets and commercial delivery, supporting integrated energy solutions for business customers. You’ll use specialist analytics platforms, interval and billing data to profile customer portfolios, identify cost and emissions reduction opportunities, and model the impact of solar, storage, embedded networks and demand-side initiatives. Working closely with commercial, pricing and project teams, you’ll turn complex energy data into clear, actionable insights that underpin proposals, tenders and long-term customer strategies.Key ResponsibilitiesEnergy Data & Portfolio AnalysisAnalyse customer energy usage and cost profiles using interval data, bills, tariffs and network charges across single and multi-site portfolios.Build baselines, load profiles and comparative views that highlight key cost drivers, risks and optimisation opportunities.Validate and maintain high-quality datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability of all analytical outputs.Solution Modelling & ReportingUse specialist analytics tools to model scenarios for solar, battery storage, embedded networks, demand response and efficiency projects.Compare “business as usual” against proposed solutions, including headline savings, payback and emissions outcomes.Prepare clear, concise reports, charts and presentations that translate detailed analysis into simple, commercial narratives for non-technical stakeholders.Commercial & Bid SupportSupport business development and account managers with analytical inputs for proposals and tenders.Assist in reviewing tariffs and contract structures, providing high-level comparisons of retail offers, PPAs and other energy products.Contribute to internal review sessions, sense-checking assumptions and ensuring consistency across models, reports and proposals.Skills & Experience2–5 years’ experience in energy analytics, commercial, engineering or a related analytical role within the electricity, energy or renewables sector.Experience with Orkestra highly advantageous (Advanced Excel, exposure to modelling and/or BI tools highly regarded as well).Experience working with interval data, electricity bills and tariff structures, and linking findings to cost, risk and customer outcomes.Good working knowledge of the Australian electricity market fundamentals and business energy cost drivers.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical analysis to non-technical stakeholders.Organised, detail-focused and comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines across different customers and projects.Next Step?This is a compelling opportunity to support Australia’s energy transition in a data-driven, customer-focused role.
