Join us.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a talented and innovative Engineer - Highways to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our engineering department, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge highway projects in one of the worlds most rapidly evolving urban landscapes.Develop and review highway design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for various projectsUtilize advanced engineering software and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools to create detailed designs and 3D modelsConduct feasibility studies and traffic impact assessments for proposed highway projectsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and efficient project deliveryPerform complex engineering calculations and analyses related to highway geometry, drainage, and pavement designEnsure compliance with local and international highway design standards and regulationsParticipate in site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and qualityPrepare technical reports, presentations, and other project documentationContribute to the development of innovative solutions for sustainable transportation infrastructureAssist in the preparation of proposals and tender documents for new projectsStay updated on the latest trends and technologies in highway engineering and implement best practicesQualificationsBachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a focus on highway engineeringMinimum of 3-5 years of experience in highway design and engineeringProficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design softwareStrong knowledge of highway engineering principles, including geometric design, pavement design, and drainage systemsFamiliarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and processesExperience with traffic modeling and analysis softwareIn-depth understanding of local UAE highway design standards and regulationsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detailStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present technical informationProficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being capable of independent workInnovative mindset with a passion for developing sustainable transportation solutionsWillingness to work towards professional chartership (e.g., UAE Society of Engineers)Valid UAE driving license (preferred)Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plusAdditional InformationAbout AECOMAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
