Engineer (Cable Testing)

Reporting to the Manager, you will be responsible in supporting the team with test services on cable products.ResponsibilitiesHandle customers’ feedback and enquiryPerform and evaluate tests on power cables to International Standards as well as fiber optic testing and new business areas.Prepare Work Instructions, test and inspection reportsCollaborate with vendors and other departments to resolve engineering issues or testing requirementsCoordinate with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure smooth execution of projectsMaintain and upkeep test facilities and equipmentUndertake process improvement projects on testing facilities and services on a yearly basisLiaise with calibration bodies on calibration issues and manage all equipment’s’ calibrationProject planning to ensure the project meets the deadlineParticipate in ISO/IEC 17025 audit yearlyProvide professional advice or solutions to customersTravel for overseas project occasionallyActively promote and embed Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all work, and support and comply with all organizational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.The job holder has to behave at all times in a manner consistent with all applicable local laws, TÜV SÜD Company values and Code of Ethics and to actively promote this to others as well.Take reasonable care to ensure your own and others’ health and safety.
