We take onprojects that combine real-world impact with innovative solutions — from feasibility studiesand technical research to hands-on implementation and automation.Our mission is to explore and deliver practical, eco-friendly technologies that improvehealthcare, energy systems, and community infrastructure.Internship RoleWe are offering a paid internship designed for graduate students who want to apply theirtechnical skills in a professional, multidisciplinary environment. Preference will be given tostudents in Mechanical, Mechatronic and Electro-mechanical engineering fields.This internship is based in eSwatini, with a mix of in-person and work-from-home tasks.What You’ll DoAs an intern at edwaleni technologies, you can expect to work on a variety of projectsdepending on current company needs. Examples of tasks previous interns have taken oninclude:Hands-on Prototyping:Development of proof of concept systems and products.Working with engineering tools, measurement instruments and materials.CAD design of parts and submission of technical drawings for fabrication.Testing parts and systems.Software & Systems Development:Writing Python and HTML code to automate processes (e.g., generating formatted PDFs of patient records, custom email signatures).Configuring and maintaining technical systems such as inventory platforms (InvenTree) and cloud/server backups.Research & Feasibility Studies:Conducting engineering analyses (e.g., solar production vs. load curve optimization, hydro feasibility studies).Drafting full technical reports with cost analysis, design considerations, and equipment research.Exploring innovative renewable energy concepts (e.g., compost heating systems, sustainable air-earth exchangers.)Technical Communication & Documentation:Preparing professional documentation for on-boarding, procedures, and reports.Contributing to project planning and collaboration with colleagues.Problem-Solving & Investigations:Analyzing data, identifying system vulnerabilities and proposing solutions.Designing and testing creative approaches to eco-friendly engineering challenges.What We’re Looking ForEngineering graduate students.eSwatini citizenship or permanent residency (required).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Willingness to learn, adapt, and take initiative.Comfortable working with both research tasks and hands-on technical setups.Bonus: Experience with programming (preferably Python), Excel/Google Sheets, or renewable energy projects.Why Join Us?Real-World Impact: Work on meaningful projects that directly contribute to healthcare, renewable energy, and sustainability.Skills Development: Gain experience with coding, technical research, feasibility analysis and project planning.Mentorship: Work alongside experienced engineers and collaborators in a supportive, learning-focused environment.Flexibility: Combination of remote and in-person work tailored to your schedule.Short Testimonial"My internship at edwaleni technologies has been diverse and rewarding.
