Reports to the Plant Manager or General Manager.Job ProfileProfessional degree in Industrial or Mechanical EngineeringLanguage: English 90%Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar positionExperience in the manufacturing and assembly of components with tight tolerance requirementsExpertise in mechanical tolerancesProblem-solving skillsData analysis skills in processes and product issuesSix Sigma skillsExperience in electronics manufacturing engineeringLeadership skillsVisaWillingness to travelMain ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the direction and management of the manufacturing engineering team.Lead the Engineering departments.Responsible for all aspects of manufacturing support, such as equipment utilization, waste reduction, process control, commissioning and training processes, customer corrective actions, etc.Support the Production departments in executing the manufacturing plan to achieve sales goals.Utilize a combination of technical and project management skills to help direct capital investment and manage process improvements at the Mexicali facility. Develop and lead manufacturing technology advancement projects for cost reduction and quality improvement with specific focus on process improvement and automation efficiency. Participate in the product development process to evaluate process paths and design for manufacturability.Assist in the development and implementation of visual factory tools and monitor their effectiveness.Oversight over the development and maintenance of standard work instructions as a continuous training tool.Extensive personal involvement in guiding root cause analysis and solution development/implementation.Responsible for managing and executing the plants Capital Improvement budget.Responsible for managing and executing the plants Cost Reduction Productivity Improvement plan.Provides support for ramp-up operations.
