Job Description

For one of our clients in the renewable energy sector, we are looking for an Engineering Manager to support the delivery of utility-scale projects across development and construction phases.Our client is a leading pan-European renewable energy developer and Independent Power Producer (IPP), with offices across Europe. The company manages a diversified pipeline of over 15 GW in onshore wind, solar, and battery energy storage (BESS) projects, playing an active role in accelerating the energy transition.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as Technical Lead for multiple utility-scale renewable energy projects across development, pre-construction, and construction phases.Serve as the single point of contact for all technical matters within assigned project teams.Support projects from early development through RTB and Financial Close, and provide technical oversight during construction, commissioning, PAC and FAC.Lead technical due diligence for project acquisitions, including coordination and review of external Technical Advisors.Define plant design, equipment selection, and optimization strategies (including LCOE).Identify technical risks and constraints, propose mitigation measures, and ensure compliance with project requirements.Prepare Owner’s Requirements, Basic Design documentation, and EPC Technical Appendices.Review EPC bids, detailed designs, claims, and technical documentation; support contractor negotiations.Coordinate and review work of OE, LTA and other technical consultants.Conduct site visits for greenfield and construction-stage projects.Required Knowledge & ExperienceProven experience in large-scale Solar PV projects in Europe (Developer, IPP, or Technical Advisor side).Strong technical knowledge of PV systems (modules, inverters, trackers, structures) and plant performance factors.Experience with Energy Yield Assessments (EYA), layouts, and techno-economic optimization.Proficiency in PVsyst, PVdesign, AutoCAD and similar modelling tools.Solid understanding of EPC and O&M contracts and technical documentation.BESS and/or Wind project experience is an advantage.Degree in Engineering (Master’s in Renewable Energy or related field preferred).Fluent English and Romanian; additional European languages are a plus.Strong stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills.
