The first two months focus on classroom-based learning at our Sta. Rosa Laguna Training Center, covering end-to-end Supply Chain fundamentals and Frontline Leadership skills. After, cadets apply what they’ve learned through On-the-Job Training - which includes a process improvement project and mentorship from site leaders at their assigned site. The program concludes with a revalida and project presentation. Completion of the program is required for regularization and role placement, and all cadets receive a certificate upon graduation.The Engineering Team Leader ensures proper execution of all corrective maintenance work with the highest quality of service to all Line equipment. Ensuring proper execution of all planned and corrective maintenance work and productive utilization of technicians, and contractors reporting directly.Responsibilities:1. Manage Budget on Area of AssignmentProvide input to and manage expenditure for the equipment repairs and maintenance budget on the area of assignmentProvide proposals for replacement of equipment or facilities and or upgrades for the yearly Capex budgets2. Recommend Maintenance Mix and Schedule ImprovementsUnder/over or inappropriate maintenance activities identifiedRecommendations made to Planning Head to improve maintenance mixMaintenance schedules reviewed periodically3. Controlled Maintenance ActivitiesPeriodic checks conducted on all maintenance activitiesStandard engineering practices developed, documented & implementedRoot cause analyses carried out on breakdownsCorrective action taken where work is not conducted according to planCoaching provided to technicians where necessaryEnsure work orders checked for completion, signed off & captured on CMMSAll maintenance activities in the unit supported (including assisting & allocating resources for breakdown activities to ensure quality workmanship on all maintenance work)Weekly and monthly maintenance KPI reports generated, analysed and corrective action taken.4. Project ManagementPlanning, organizing, securing, and managing resources to achieve specific goals within the defined time frame and budget allocation with respect to shutdowns and major overhauls.Objectives to bring about beneficial change or added value.5. Coordinates OEM or 3rd Party Maintenance Breakdown SupportOEM/3rd Party Maintenance line support/ specialist called in immediately if it is identified that repair cannot be affected without further support.Failures/ problems/ deviations investigated, and root causes identified, verified and corrective action taken according to procedures.Spares and tools obtained using the appropriate systems as per work instruction.Breakdowns repaired with the minimum production downtime.Report on breakdowns & repairs carried out completed as per work instruction.Plant/ equipment/ process commissioned after job and handed over to customer for approvalInformation/ feedback collated, documented, and provided to relevant customers6. People Administration and DevelopmentConducts interviews and selects, the most suitable candidate for vacant positions in his team.Provides regular coaching and mentoring to assigned associates to ensure that expectations from the role are constantly met.Conducts regular performance reviews to manage team performance and to set a clear career plan of his/her direct reportsIdentifies training gaps of each member of the team and facilitates the execution of the training plans to ensure that a career development plan for each associate is provided.Develop and implement effective feedback and recognition system for his direct reports.Reviews and approves the attendance of the team, including leaves, shifting and overtime, to ensure continuous operations and compliance with cost directions, budget and Company policies and procedures.Implements Company rules and regulations among his direct reports and performs consequence management or institute disciplinary measures in cases of violations.Spearheads People Development Forum/ Succession Planning for his team with the rest of the leadership team and ensures progress on the identified development areas for each of his subordinatesWorks with the rest of the management team in laying-down and executing programs in his area of assignment.Review contracts of service provider and provides People team opportunities areas.Responsible in promoting industrial peace and cultivating engaged labor unions; ensures they are aligned with company directions.Actively participates in the Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations. Leads closure of grievance cases and LMC issues and concerns.7.
