1. Job ObjectiveThe Enterprise Commercial Market Team Leader will spearhead Huawei’s enterprise commercial market expansion across Zambia, focusing on financial, mining, and pan-government sectors. The role involves end-to-end responsibility for business performance, market strategy, team leadership, and ecosystem development — ensuring Huawei’s sustained growth and leadership in the Zambian ICT and digital energy markets.2. Key ResponsibilitiesMarket Development & Strategy ExecutionLead Zambia’s commercial market operations with a focus on financial, mining, and government sectors.Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve revenue growth, market share, and profitability targets.Analyze market trends, industry dynamics, and competitor strategies to identify growth opportunities.Team Leadership & Local Talent ManagementLead, coach, and evaluate a local sales and operations team (≥3 people).Implement effective performance management, target setting, and employee capability development.Foster a high-performance culture that embodies Huawei’s “wolf spirit” — proactive, resilient, and results-driven.Customer & Ecosystem DevelopmentManage key account relationships with high-value clients in finance, mining, and government.Identify and onboard ecosystem partners, including local system integrators, distributors, and consultants.Strengthen Huawei’s local business ecosystem by fostering partnerships that drive innovation and growth.Business Operations & Financial AccountabilityOversee the operation and financial performance of self-funded projects, ensuring profitability and compliance.Conduct periodic business reviews and ensure achievement of key KPIs: revenue, margin, and project delivery efficiency.Optimize local business processes for maximum cost-effectiveness and sustainability.Local Market Intelligence & Brand GrowthBuild Huawei’s visibility in Zambia through thought leadership, local events, and partnerships with industry associations.Provide feedback to regional leadership on customer insights, policy shifts, and emerging opportunities.Represent Huawei in key negotiations and business forums, ensuring strong brand representation.3. Professional Knowledge & Business SkillsEducation:Bachelor’s degree or higher in ICT, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Business Management, or Digital Energy-related fields.MBA or Postgraduate qualification in Management / Strategy (Preferred).Experience:Minimum 5–8 years of progressive experience in enterprise business development, sales management, or commercial strategy, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Proven success in leading large-scale B2B ICT or energy solution projects.Strong understanding of Zambia’s ICT, telecom, energy, and digital transformation sectors.Track record of building and managing local teams and achieving business growth in competitive markets.Skills & Competencies:Deep business acumen and consultative selling skills.Exceptional leadership and team management ability.Proficiency in strategic planning, market mapping, and stakeholder management.Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.Ability to build trust with government, enterprise, and partner stakeholders.Fluent in English; local language fluency (e.g., Bemba, Nyanja) is an advantage.4.
