This advisory role focuses on defining, validating and embedding security requirements across enterprise projects. The expert will serve as a subject-matter authority on Kubernetes and cloud-native security, contributing to architecture assurance, policy development and technical design validation.What you’ll do:Define security requirements and validate controls for Kubernetes and microservices environments across IT projects.Review Kubernetes cluster architectures and service mesh implementations for compliance with internal and regulatory standards.Guide the selection and adoption of security tools (e.g., Kube-bench, Kubescape, OPA/Gatekeeper, Checkov/Trivy, EDR/XDR such as CrowdStrike) for secure operations and/or securing CI/CD workflows.Provide input during threat modelling, design reviews, architecture boards and security signoffs for containerized and cloud-native solutions.Specify security measures for service-to-service communication (e.g., mTLS, Zero Trust policies) and secured APIs.Collaborate with DevOps, architecture and infrastructure teams to ensure secure design patterns and reusable policy templates are adopted.Evaluate vendors and third-party solutions for Kubernetes and microservices platforms, ensuring alignment with enterprise security requirements and best practices.
