Job Description
The City of Piqua is recruiting candidates for the position of full-time Police Officer. The Piqua Police Department is looking for Entry level and Lateral applicants as well as OPOTA certified candidates to fill existing vacancies.Applicants should fill out an application with the City of Piqua. Entry level candidates will need to complete an examination through the National Testing Network. Lateral candidates are not required to take the written test.Minimum Requirements: Applicants must be at least 21 years of age but less than 35 years of age at appointment (no maximum age for Lateral applicants), possess a High School Diploma or GED, be a US Citizen, and possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License.Prior to appointment, a candidate must submit and successfully pass physical fitness testing, an extensive background investigation, truth verification test, pre-employment drug screen, physical and psychological examination.
