In this role, you’ll play a vital part in implementing and supervising environmental activities on-site, ensuring full compliance with both regulations and international lender standards such as IFC Performance Standards and EBRD Performance Requirements.You’ll work closely with the E&S Manager, project teams, and environmental consultants to ensure our renewable projects deliver on their sustainability commitments.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport delivery of environmental and social (E&S) compliance aligned with EBRD PR5, IFC PS5, and environmental standards.Conduct and supervise ecological and biodiversity surveys — including vegetation, habitat, and species assessments across terrestrial and freshwater environments.Carry out field and desk-based studies, interpret environmental data, and prepare high-quality technical reports.Monitor project compliance with Biodiversity Action Plans (BAP) and Environmental & Social Management Plans (ESMP).Liaise with internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure environmental requirements are met throughout project development and operation.Contribute to biodiversity training for site staff and awareness programs.Prepare and present technical findings and recommendations to project leadership and external partners.What You’ll BringEducation: Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.Experience:5+ years in environmental project work, consulting, or regulation.Proven knowledge of ecosystem sciences, ecology, ornithology, and environmental planning.Experience with environmental assessments and biodiversity monitoring programs.Familiarity with Uzbekistan environmental legislation and international standards (IFC, EBRD, ADB).Languages: Proficiency in Uzbek and English (additional languages a plus).Other Skills:Strong reporting and data interpretation skills.Ability to work independently and conduct robust fieldwork safely.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement ability.Passion for environmental protection and renewable energy.Why Join ACWA Power?You’ll join a global leader in renewable energy with projects spanning solar, wind, green hydrogen, and desalination.At ACWA Power, you’ll work on high-impact projects that balance development with environmental stewardship — helping to create lasting value for communities and the planet.
