Senior Data Scientist

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic Data Practice team and collaborate on EPAM’s strategic projects.

ResponsibilitiesIdentify the business problemsFind the right data and methods to address themBuild and validate analytical modelsPresent the findings in a clear and informative wayConvert large volumes of structured and unstructured customer data using advanced analytical solutionsUse and fit different mathematical and econometric models, develop descriptive and predictive models that deliver better decisionsTurn analyzed data into actionable insights and business valueCreate high-quality data visualizationsCommunicate effectively with different departments and roles (product managers, engineers) to discuss complex data-driven findings and technical mattersEducate and train others on Data Science related mattersEstimate, plan and coordinate the delivery of moderate sized projectsEvaluate and select Data Science tools and librariesRequirements3+ years of experience working in the Data Science field1+ years of experience leading delivery teams in the Data Science fieldData focused applied mathematics (statistical analysis, machine learning)Decent communication / presentation skills (including working English fluency)RDBMS / SQL knowledgeProgramming experience (Python preferred)Skills in data analysis tools and libraries such as Python (NumPy / SciPy / scikit-learn / pandas / matplotlib), R, SAS, SPSS, MATLAB, etc.
