Python Automation Test Engineer Team Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Python Automation Test Engineer Team Lead to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead a team of five or more automation test engineers, driving the design, development, and optimization of test automation frameworks and infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality software solutions, implementing best practices, and leveraging cutting-edge technologies to support business objectives. This role requires deep expertise in Python, Azure, GitHub, Databricks, and key data and mathematical libraries. Feel free to work remotely from anywhere across Latvia or connect with colleagues at our Riga office.

ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and manage a team of 5+ automation test engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environmentDesign, build, and maintain scalable and efficient test automation frameworks using Python and Azure servicesDevelop, optimize, and maintain automated testing pipelines and infrastructureUtilize Azure DevOps, Databricks, and CI/CD pipelines to enhance automation workflowsImplement best practices for CI/CD using GitHub, ensuring code quality, testing, and deployment automationWork with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers, to ensure high-quality software releasesOptimize performance of test execution and reporting, ensuring reliability, accuracy, and coverageLeverage mathematical and statistical libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, and Statsmodels for test data analysis and validationImplement machine learning and big data frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Apache Spark, and Hadoop as needed for test optimizationEnsure compliance with software testing standards, security, and best practicesTroubleshoot complex automation-related issues and provide robust solutionsRequirements8+ years of experience in test automation, with at least 2+ years in a leadership roleExpertise in Python and key automation testing frameworks (PyTest, Selenium, Robot Framework, etc.

)Strong experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure DevOps, Databricks, and Azure FunctionsProficiency in CI/CD workflows, version control (GitHub), and DevOps practicesExperience working with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.
