DescriptionThe Quality Manager – Manufacturing is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems that ensure the consistent production of high-performance power conversion products. This hands-on leadership role oversees incoming, in-process, and final product quality while driving continuous improvement and compliance across EPC Power’s manufacturing operations. Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the manufacturing quality team, including quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians. Oversee and improve quality systems across production lines, including IQC, IPQC, and OQC processes. Develop, implement, and maintain ISO 9001-compliant quality procedures and documentation.
Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues and drive root cause corrective actions (RCCA). Lead investigations of non-conformances, customer complaints, and internal audit findings. Manage quality metrics, KPIs, and reporting, including yield, defect rates, and first-pass success. Develop training programs for quality standards, inspection techniques, and process controls. Partner with suppliers and incoming inspection teams to ensure part/component quality and supplier accountability. Coordinate and prepare for external audits, customer inspections, and certification activities. Foster a culture of continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies.
RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field. 7+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 4 years in a leadership role. Proven experience with ISO 9001 quality systems and regulatory compliance in an electronics or electromechanical manufacturing setting. Strong understanding of quality tools such as PFMEA, SPC, CAPA, 8D, and control plans. Experience with inspection equipment, GD&T, and manufacturing process validation. Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Proficiency in ERP and QMS software systems.
