JOB SUMMARYResponsible for generating performance reports on External Fund Managers through robust, structured data collection from multiple sources, and maintaining the EFM database to support fund manager identification and decision-making. JOB RESPONSIBILITIESReview the production of Domestic EQ and FI Performance report and the details of the task performed as follows: i. Data collection: Gather all relevant data about the investment portfolio, including investment book value and market value, securities holdings, income, benchmark data, sector, rating and duration from various sources. ii. Performance calculation:
Calculate the investment portfolio’s performance using various metrics, such as ROI, TWRR, excess return, Ex-post tracking error. iii. Reporting: Generate a comprehensive report that consolidates the External Manager’s portfolio performance and by individual portfolio account. Assist in the maintenance of a comprehensive EFM performance database by consolidating data from internal systems, custodians, and external managers. Drive automation of recurring performance reports, reducing manual intervention through advanced tools such as: i. Power BI (for dynamic dashboards)ii. Excel VBA / Macros (for custom reporting workflows)iii.
Python / SQL / Power Query (for complex data manipulation where applicable)Establish and maintenance of EFM Performance Dashboard for the utilisation of internal stakeholders. Produce the Global and Domestic equity monthly and weekly status report. Produce a real time portfolio status report of the EFM. Conduct management fee calculation of EFM. Perform other duties as required by the Supervisor from time to time. QUALIFICATIONSMalaysian citizenObtain a pass in Bahasa Malaysia, including oral test in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level.
Possess a Bachelor Degree or Bachelor Degree (Honours) in Accounting, Business Management, Banking, Finance/Investment or equivalent qualifications recognised by the Government from any local or overseas higher learning institutions. Candidates with at least 5 years’ work experience in performance measurement, portfolio analytics, or investment operations, preferably with equity and fixed income portfolio. Proficiency in core performance tools : Excel (advanced functions, VBA), SQL, Power Query, Python and Power BIIndependent, highly disciplined, prioritizes work, mature and able to achieve the desired performance.
