JOB RESPONSIBILITIESActively monitor the corporate domestic fixed income portfolio, ensuring timely checks on covenant compliance, credit health, and market developments. Conduct due diligence on financial, technical, and legal aspects. Work closely with and negotiate with borrowers, issuers, and banks on corporate actions and requests. Perform impairment assessments on the portfolio and recommend appropriate actions. Work closely with issuers and bankers during site visits to assess business and operational conditions. Build and maintain strategic relationships with issuers, trustees, banks, government bodies, GLCs, corporates, financial institutions, and internal stakeholders.
Prepare and present proposals to the Management Investment Committee and Investment Panel, ensuring alignment with internal policies and procedures. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate submission of proposals and documentation. Undertake other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the Section Head or Department HeadJOB REQUIREMENTSMalaysian citizenPassed SPM examination or equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government with credit in Bahasa Malaysia. A recognised Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or related disciplines. Professional certifications such as CFA are an added advantage.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in fixed income, credit research, auditing, or related fields with exposure to corporate financial analysis, credit risk assessment, or investment evaluation. Strong knowledge of fixed income investments, financial analysis, and corporate credit due diligence. Able to develop original ideas and articulate views clearly and convincingly. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Malay and English. Proven ability to network and build strong professional relationships. Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders, including external analysts, corporates, institutional investors, regulators, agent banks, and intermediaries.
