Epico is searching for a freelance consultant for a client in retail industry in Copenhagen. Job Title: Revenue Growth Management (RGM) Solution Subject Matter Expert (SME)Location: CopenhagenContract Type: Contract / Freelance consultantStart Date: ASAPPeriod: until end 2025Purpose of the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced Revenue Growth Management (RGM) SME to provide deep functional and technical expertise in support of a major commercial transformation initiative. This role will be instrumental in guiding the selection, evaluation, and implementation of a best-in-class RGM solution.

The ideal candidate will act as a strategic advisor, ensuring the chosen solution delivers long-term value and aligns with business needs and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities1. Functional ExpertiseDeep understanding of RGM pillars: pricing strategy, pack architecture, trade promotion optimization, mix management, channel strategy, and discounting. Ability to assess revenue, margin, and profitability impacts across RGM levers. Experience with top-tier RGM tools (e. g. , NielsenIQ, SAP RGM, Anaplan, Blacksmith, Vistex, etc. ). Skilled in evaluating tool features, data models, integration capabilities, and scalability. Define and prioritize business-specific use cases and KPIs in collaboration with commercial and finance teams.

Advise on data requirements and mitigation strategies for data gaps. 2. Technology & Architecture AwarenessUnderstanding of modern RGM platform architecture, including cloud, modularity, and interoperability. Experience integrating RGM tools with ERP (e. g. , SAP), CRM, DWH, and analytics platforms. Evaluate scalability and long-term sustainability of vendor solutions. 3. Strategic AdvisoryLead/co-lead vendor workshops, proof of concepts, and evaluation scoring. Provide unbiased, strategic input into vendor selection. Stay current on RGM market trends, innovations, and vendor landscape. Support implementation planning, including roadmap development and change impact assessment. 4. Stakeholder Management & Soft SkillsTranslate complex RGM concepts for cross-functional stakeholders. Facilitate workshops and alignment sessions.

Collaborate effectively with product managers, architects, commercial and finance teams. Bring a challenger mindset to ensure optimal long-term decisions. 5. Ideal Candidate Profile7–10+ years of experience in RGM or commercial planning within FMCG, retail, or consumer brands. Hands-on experience with at least one full-cycle RGM tool implementation. Background in consulting or internal SME roles on large-scale commercial transformation programs. Familiarity with global/regional operating models and deployment strategies.
