Estimating Manager

This building company has been in Sydney for over 20 years. They have a growing presence across Sydney, especially the inner west. They have a growing team in the estimating department and require someone to help oversee all work and staff performance.They are conveniently located in southwest Sydney and have a tight-knit, friendly working culture.Key ResponsibilitiesOverseeing production estimating from end-to-end, including BOQs and take-offs, and ensuring all project documentation aligns across plans, engineering, inclusions and selections.Managing and updating pricing libraries, databases and internal catalogues/“recipes.”Leading a team comprising one senior production estimator and two sales estimators.Contributing to the development of both individual and team KPIs.Creating a team culture built on accountability, ownership, and collaboration.Coaching and developing a high-performing estimating team.Coordinating workflow and workload distribution across the estimating function.Sourcing suppliers and negotiating competitive pricing and quality products.Streamlining processes and supporting seamless collaboration with other departments.Tracking ETSs and monitoring potential margin erosion.Ensuring every output is consistent, accurate and delivered efficiently.Assisting with recruitment when required.Requirements for the role:Trade or Tertiary Qualifications (building)Experience working for a residential builder (custom or volume)Experience working on house & land packages, spec homes, contract housing or similarA solid understanding of the Australian Building IndustryA flexible approach to work and a willingness to be involved in growing the businessAbility to work full time in the office, Monday to Friday.Benefits:Established business of over twenty years.Growth opportunity as company develops and expandsDiverse portfolio of work in custom home/duplex and project home building Company focused on diverse and custom designs Opportunity to contribute to high-quality homes.Be part of an experienced, long-standing team with a strong industry reputation.Work within a process that values transparency, communication and client satisfaction.To apply please email your CV to Anca Marinescu on anca@designandbuild.com.auCall 02 9376 8200 for more information
