Our commitment to innovation, technical excellence, and customer satisfaction has made us a trusted partner in the building services industry.The Role We are seeking an experienced Estimating / Pre-Construction Manager to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will lead all pre-construction activities — from initial design and estimating through to project handover — ensuring seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:Manage the estimating and tendering process for incoming client enquiries, including the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates.Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings to develop compliant and competitive proposals.Work closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to develop design and build solutions that meet project requirements.Oversee value engineering and technical design input during the pre-construction phase.Lead procurement activities, including supplier and subcontractor engagement and quotation analysis.Coordinate project handover to the Project Manager, ensuring all technical, financial, and procurement documentation is complete.Support continuous improvement in estimating and pre-construction processes.Skills & Experience:Proven experience in estimating and/or pre-construction management within the HVAC or mechanical services industry.Strong understanding of mechanical building services design and installation.Excellent commercial and contractual awareness.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.Ability to manage multiple tenders and priorities under tight deadlines.Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or similar discipline (preferred).What We Offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity to lead significant, high-profile projects.Supportive and collaborative working environment.Ongoing professional development and career growth opportunities.How to Apply: If you’re an ambitious professional looking to take ownership of the pre-construction phase and contribute to the success of a growing HVAC and mechanical services business, we’d love to hear from you.👉 Send your CV and cover letter to graham@tbss.uk.com
