GEDON Executive is partnering with a leading Fitout Specialist Contractor in their search for an Estimator to join their dynamic team in Dublin, Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional to take ownership of pricing complex, fast-paced commercial and high-end fitout projects.As an Estimator, you will be crucial to the pre-construction team, responsible for preparing competitive and accurate cost estimates from tender inquiry through to final submission. Your expertise will directly contribute to securing a pipeline of profitable, high-quality projects in the thriving Dublin commercial property market.Key ResponsibilitiesTender Management: Lead the estimating process for commercial fitout and refurbishment tenders, ensuring all aspects of the bid are accurately costed, compiled, and submitted within strict deadlines.First Principles Estimating: Prepare detailed, bottom-up estimates for all fitout elements, including internal finishes, partitions, ceilings, joinery, and services interfaces.Quantity Take-Off: Accurately measure quantities from drawings, specifications, and schedules for materials and subcontract packages.Supply Chain Engagement: Issue detailed inquiries to specialist subcontractors and suppliers, evaluating quotations, negotiating prices, and ensuring compliance with tender requirements.Cost Analysis: Analyse historical data and current market conditions to ensure estimates are competitive and reflective of project-specific risks and logistics.Collaboration: Work closely with the Design, Commercial, and Operational teams to develop value engineering proposals and ensure the build methodology is accurately costed.What You'll BringProven Experience: Demonstrable experience as an Estimator or Assistant Estimator, with a strong background in a Contractor or Subcontractor environment in Ireland or the UK.Sector Expertise: Direct experience in pricing commercial fitout, refurbishment, or high-end interiors projects is highly desirable.Commercial Acumen: Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a focus on accuracy, detail, and commercial viability.Software Proficiency: Competency in industry-standard estimating software (e.g., Buildsoft) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of preparing clear, professional tender reports and engaging the supply chain effectively.Qualifications: A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics is preferred.What Our Client OffersA competitive salary of up to €70,000, dependent on your experience and expertise in the fitout sector.The opportunity to price high-specification, fast-track commercial fitout projects for major clients in Dublin.A vital role within a specialist firm with a strong reputation and a stable pipeline of work.A supportive and professional pre-construction team environment with excellent opportunities for career advancement.The GEDON AdvantageGEDON Executive is a global search firm specialising in the preconstruction & project controls sector, with a strong network of leading contractors and consultancies in Dublin and across Ireland.
