The European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology (EULAR) is the organisation which represents the people with arthritis/rheumatism, health professional and scientific societies of rheumatology of all the European nations. EULAR is a non-profit scientific and educational association recognised by Swiss law. Each year, it hosts a congress with approximately 14’000 delegates congress.eular.org, and organises a wide variety of smaller events throughout the year.Are you passionate about medical congresses, event management, and creating impactful event experiences? Join us as an Event Coordinator and play a key role in the planning and execution of meeting, congress and event activities.Your tasks:•Plan and execute events from concept to completion, including conferences, social functions, task force and committee meetings.•Develop detailed event proposals and timelines, including budgets, venue selection, catering, entertainment, and logistics.•Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services and materials.•Support the housing management for our volunteers, bursary winners and staff for the EULAR activities.•Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.•Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring all elements are in place and meet EULAR. standards, manage check-ins of guests and ensure the smooth execution of the function.Your profileRequired qualifications:•Minimum of 3-5years of professional experience in event management, hospitality or a related field.•Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with event management platforms (Azavista, m-anage, or similar registration tool)or congress IT systems.•Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to details.•Stress-resistant ,positive personality with very high engagement level.•A proactive and dependable team player, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. •Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (C1-C2).•Availability to work on weekends occasionally and travel within Europe.•Sense of ethics, responsibility, and confidentiality.•Interest in working in a dynamic, international, and multicultural environment.Preferred qualifications: •Higher education in event management, or a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.•Digital fluency and project management certification.•Conversational German (B1 -B2 level) or additional languages are a plus.•Familiarity with Confluence and Jira.Start: Immediate.
