The Event Operations Trainee supports the Director, Managers and Coordinators of the department with operational needs, set-up for events, item and asset transport, inventory and storage, and leadership of staff. The Trainee will fulfill internal and external item requests. This position will play a lead role in the hiring, training and scheduling of year-round Event Operations Seasonal Staff.The Event Operations Department supports the operational aspects of all events at Truist Park on a year-round basis. These include but are not limited to external client, corporate contractual, internal and gameday events. This position requires a strong work ethic, a passion for sports and event management, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to both staff and guests. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Atlanta Braves operational standards. The purpose of the department is to centralize and improve communication, increase operational efficiency and ensure standardization.KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:Assist with the operational needs and logistical support for all Gamedays, Gameday Events, Non-Gameday Events, Corporate and Executive Events, Fan Experience Events, Internal Events/Meetings (i.e. Braves Fest, Front Office Staff Meetings, BEAT Brigade Events, Gameday Leadership Team Initiatives, Growing the Game Events)Work as manager on duty for Event Operations department for 80% of Braves home gamesResponsible for the scheduling of part-time Event Ops Team for all Gamedays and Non-Gameday event schedulesResponsible for building all Gameday & Non-Gameday logistical timelines through Basecamp (project management software) for Event Ops Logistics TeamAssist with hiring process (interviewing, onboarding, uniform distribution, etc.) for all part-time Event Ops Logistics Team on a year-round basisAssist Braves Entertainment with logistical support for all pre/postgame set-ups in the Stadium, Plaza, & Battery for Braves home gamesResponsible for tracking the Event Operations request form and ensuring all promotional, asset and activation requests are fulfilled in efficient timeAssist with management of all Event Operations assets (transportation, inventory, signing in/out, storage, cleanliness, etc.)Track and record hours for Event Ops Logistics Team to ensure team members are meeting availability requirementsWork with Event Services department to help manage external linen vendor process (communication, quality control checks, order pick-ups, shipping, receiving, etc.)Assist in ensuring that the relative areas of the Ballpark are cleaned, crowd control measures and all assets are in place, and all areas are ready for gamedays and eventsAssist the Guest Operations department with logistical support and special assignmentsAssist Director of Event Operations, Department Managers and Coordinators with responsibilities, duties and special projects as assignedTRAINEE PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:College graduate, Bachelor's or Master's, with a GPA of at least 3.0 at graduationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively and relate well with individuals of diverse backgrounds and within all levels of the companyProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Customer service orientedAbility to work long hours, weekends, and holidaysMust successfully complete background checkADDITIONAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:BA degree in Sports Management or Business Administration preferred2 years of experience in sports operations/major events preferredProactive, organized and detail-oriented person who can prioritize their workload and follow through with minimal supervisionSelf-motivated individual with high degree of responsibility including confidentiality, sense of urgency, and accountabilityForklift certification preferredMust be able to lift equipment and material weighing 25-50lbs on a regular basisBasecamp, Salesforce, When I Work, Social Tables, G-Suite, Microsoft Office preferredThe Atlanta National League Baseball Club, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
