The Event Services Department works in concert with the Event Sales Department and is responsible for supporting events on non-game days within the facility . These include but are not limited to external client, corporate partner contractual, internal and gameday events. The department serves as a central point of communication for all internal operational partners as well as provides planning and strategic event services to all departments.We host social events, meetings, conventions, tradeshows, festivals, 5Ks and other special events. Truist Park offers 20 indoor event spaces, totaling 80,000 square feet, as well as on-field events and experiences. Our events range in size from 30 to 1,000 attendees.The Event Services Trainee supports the Senior Manager and Coordinators of the department with logistical planning and operational needs for all organizational events and Non-Baseball Events. This position will play a lead role in the training and scheduling of the year-round Event Captain Team and partnering with our in-house Caterer to provide unique and service driven events.The Event Services Department supports the operational aspects of all events at Truist Park as well as select organizational events held offsite.Major responsibilities:Assist in the planning and execution of private contracted, corporate partnership, premium partnership, membership services, group sales, community affairs and internal partner meetings, trainings and eventsOversee all aspects of the event during execution to ensure event standards are metResponsible for training and assisting with managing part-time Event Captain TeamManagement of When I Work scheduling system including staffing based on book of events and communication to Event Captain TeamManage external vendor ordering process and communicationAssist in storing and inventory management of essential event suppliesAssist VP, Meetings and Events, Department Managers and Coordinators with responsibilities, duties and special projects as assignedTRAINEE PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS: College graduate, Bachelor's or Master's, with a GPA of at least 3.0 at graduationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively and relate well with individuals of diverse backgrounds and within all levels of the companyProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Customer service orientedExcellent executive presenceAbility to work long hours, weekends, and holidaysMust complete a background checkADDITIONAL POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:BA or MS degree in Hospitality and Tourism, Sports Management and/or Event Planning preferredWork related experience in event planning, hospitality preferredProactive, organized and detail-oriented person who can prioritize their workload and follow through with minimal supervisionAn understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures, possess an ability to work effectively and relate well with individuals of diverse backgrounds and all levels within the companySelf-motivated individual with high degree of responsibility including confidentiality, sense of urgency, and accountabilityFlexibility and enthusiasm in attitude and approachAbility to work long hours, weekends and occasional holidaysProficient in Salesforce, Social Tables and Microsoft Office preferredThe Atlanta National League Baseball Club, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
