AccountabilitiesProvide administrative support on all event initiatives, and ensure planning tasks are executed in alignment with the special events planAssist in event specific sponsorship planning in the event planning processAdminister event specific waivers and ensure a smooth registration process for all eventsOversee the budget process for each event and provide reports on event revenues upon completionCoordinate all event volunteers and reward programs for support at key eventsEnsure excellent media coverage and partnership visibility at all events and coordinate photography, video and post event communicationCompliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety programSupport the coordination and execution of all employee events.Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as requiredOther duties as assignedRequirementsPrevious experience within the resort, recreation, hotel, or tourism industryPrevious experience working in event managementProficiency and fluency with Microsoft Windows and Office programs Post-secondary education (diploma, degree, certificate) in Marketing, Business, Communications or related field an assetKnowledge of Wordpress and Social Media marketing an assetAbility to learn new software programs Expert ski or snowboard abilityEssential SkillsCommunicationDetail OrientationOrganizationService ExcellenceTeamwork for ResultsProcess ImprovementWorking Conditions Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekendsRequires a valid driver’s licenseMixed office and outdoor environment with standing, moderate lifting, skiing/riding and computer work requiredMay be exposed to severe weather conditions on resort (snow, cold, wind) and ability to access all locations on resort (including mid-mountain) requiredCompensation And BenefitsCompetitive salary: $40,000-45,000/year, dependent on experienceParticipation in our comprehensive Group Benefits ProgramMountain access perks: Staff receive an RCR pass with full mountain access, plus reciprocal resort tickets and discounted friends & family tickets Staff discounts: Enjoy savings on food & beverage, rentals, retail items and hotel accommodation.
