University of BathGBP12.21 per hourDo you have experience working as an Exam Scribe? Are you good at taking notes? Then Randstad may just have the perfect role for you.To support students in examinations : acting as either a Prompt, Reader and/or a Scribe for the student. The support ensures that students are able to access and complete their examinations for their university degree. The support is essential to support students in moving through their time at university of Bath and achieving their academic goals.Key Duties And Responsibilities To read examinations clearly for students To repeat any questions for the student where requires To scribe the information the student requires to be written as their examinationanswers To be clear written/typed responses To have excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation To ensure that the examination rules are followed at all times To be familiar with the university buildings and rooms To act in the best interests of students at all times whilst also working within thepolicies and procedures of the university To ensure student confidentiality, professionalism and respect at all times To maintain professional boundaries within the role at all times Must hold a degree, equivalent qualification or be working towards a degree (infinal years) Disability support training (provided by Randstad) Completion of e:learning suite (provided by Randstad)Skills Have neat handwriting and be able to transcribe verbal responses into writtenanswers Excellent communication Excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation and structure Good understanding of the English language Attention to detail Flexibility and punctuality x25CF; Good organisational skills Subject:specific knowledgeExperience Experience of the Higher Education environment/experience Experience of supporting disabled adults Knowledge of the University campusCompetencies Good understanding of the English Language Clear presentation of written work Knowledge of the barriers that disabled people may experience in highereducation Understanding of confidentiality issues and role boundaries Experience of working with disabled individuals is desirable Have awareness of Safeguarding and be suitable to work with learners 16+If you are shortlisted, we will contact you for an informal chat followed by a formal interview.
