Summary of overall job profile-Responsible to provide direct operational and strategic support to the Vice President - People Department in the execution of key departmental priorities. The role bridges administrative coordination with strategic and analytical functions, ensuring effective implementation of the People Department’s objectives related to HR strategy, planning, performance monitoring, governance, and communication. Responsible to serve as a central point of coordination for the Vice President - People, enhancing decision-making efficiency, supporting data-driven insights, and facilitating cross-departmental alignment across all People Department functions.Day-to-day operations:Strategic & Operational Support:• Support the VP-PD in the preparation, execution, and tracking of People Department strategic plans, initiatives, and annual objectives.• Monitor departmental KPIs, budgets, and performance dashboards; highlight variances and prepare periodic progress summaries.• Assist in developing and following up on the implementation of HR strategic projects (e.g., offshoring, Emiratization, organizational development initiatives).• Conduct background research and prepare briefs, presentations, and reports to support management decision making.Process Management & Improvement:• Coordinate implementation of HR policies, SOPs, and process automation initiatives in collaboration with relevant PD functions (HR Operations, HRIS, etc.).• Identify process inefficiencies and propose enhancements to improve productivity, turnaround time, and digital integration.• Support audits, compliance reviews, and governance documentation for internal and external reporting. Communication & Stakeholder Coordination:• Act as the primary coordination link between the VP-PD and all sub-functions within the People Department, ensuring timely flow of information and action tracking.• Draft internal memos, announcements, and communications on behalf of the VP-PD.• Liaise with other departments, functional heads, and DP World Corporate HR to support organizational alignment and information exchange.• Facilitate People Department meetings – prepare agendas, presentations, minutes, and track action items. Budgeting, Planning & Reporting:• Support the annual HR budgeting process, including manpower, training, and departmental operational budgets.• Track budget utilization, coordinate with OD & Finance on expenditure control, and support preparation of monthly and quarterly reports. Administrative & Confidential Support:• Handle confidential documents, correspondence, and employee matters with discretion and professionalism.• Manage scheduling, travel arrangements, and key deliverable tracking for the VP-PD.• Support coordination of departmental events, reviews, and leadership forums.
