Our global sector teams include Energy Infrastructure and Industrials, Consumer & Retail, FIG, Healthcare, Business Services, Media and Technology, and Financial Sponsors.  Role description:This is an Executive Assistant role for the Investment banking division supports MD’s and the direct reports. Given the nature of the role, the person needs to think quickly to prioritise on urgent tasks and display good time management. The person should demonstrate the ability to use initiative and be resourceful in a very busy demanding role. Previous IB experience would serve well in this role.  Role responsibilities overview: Provide day-to-day administrative and logistical support to investment bankers Manage / coordinate complex calendars, schedule virtual and in-person meetings, coordinate calls / meetings across multiple time-zones Arrange domestic and international travel including itineraries, logistics accommodation, ground transportation, FX and related expense management Prepare, edit and format presentation materials, pitch books and client documentation (e.g. using PowerPoint, Excel and Word) Handle expense processing, invoice processing and reimbursement in line with the firm’s policies Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive client or firm information Support onboarding activities for new hires and assist with their set-up / access as well as maintaining team distribution lists Liaise effectively with internal departments (e.g. Finance, HR, Compliance and IT) to ensure seamless execution of admin tasks Provide general office support by covering other assistant’s bankers during absences Telephone duties including comprehensive messages and screening calls To act as a first point of contact for a number of senior bankers, clients and colleagues, fielding queries, responding to fast moving issues as they arise in the workplace   Skills and experience required: Experience in supporting executive level seniority Relevant experience within Capital Markets front-office environment Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills  Excellent administration, organisational and prioritisation skills  Ability to multi-task effectively and to work on own initiative  Effective team player with well-developed interpersonal skills  Good awareness of confidentiality  Organised and detail-oriented  Proficiency in Microsoft Office products  Ability to interact confidently at all levels   Nomura competenciesTrusted Partner  Understand clients’ needs and issues, and respond with high-quality proposals Acquire capabilities to perform one’s responsibilities and contribute to being a Trusted Partner  Entrepreneurial leadership  Produce new ideas that might challenge the status-quo or oneself  Teamwork Collaboration Seek advice from senior colleagues and utilize it for improved results Collaborate with members from relevant departments  Influence Contribute to the success of the organization both quantitatively and qualitatively, and act with awareness of the impact on others Serve as role model and provide guidance to junior employees  Integrity Have a good understanding of corporate philosophy, professional ethics, compliance, risk management, and code of conduct, and make decisions and take actions accordingly   Diversity & InclusionNomura is an equal opportunity employer.
