Job Title: Executive Director - Healthcare AI & Science-Based Innovation Location: DubaiSummary:As the Executive Director - Healthcare AI & Science-Based Innovation, you are a thought leader and a catalyst for transformative change within PureHealth. You will be responsible for identifying and evaluating emerging AI technologies, trends, and scientific advancements, translating those into strategic opportunities, and ensuring that our AI initiatives are firmly rooted in evidence-based science. You will possess a unique ability to bridge the gap between cutting-edge research, practical applications, and measurable impact. Reporting to the Executive Director of AI & Data, you will play a vital role in shaping PureHealth’s future by fostering a culture of innovation and accelerating the adoption of groundbreaking AI solutions across the organization’s provider network. You should be a strong leader with the ability to identify trends, technologies and articulate a vision that translates to concrete initiatives and plans.Responsibilities:Strategic Foresight & Technology Scouting:Scan the global healthcare landscape to identify and evaluate emerging AI technologies, scientific discoveries, and innovations that have the potential to transform healthcare delivery.Provide strategic insights into the potential impact of new technologies and their applicability to PureHealth's unique context.Conduct market research and feasibility studies to assess new AI solutions and recommend those that could deliver high impact and can be integrated within existing solutions.Maintain expertise in the field by staying abreast of relevant scientific publications, research findings, and emerging industry best practices.Science-Based Innovation:Partner with leading research institutions, universities, and technology providers to establish meaningful collaborations that will help drive data and AI-related advancements.Develop and lead research initiatives that focus on addressing key challenges in healthcare using Al-driven innovative approaches.Translate research insights into actionable strategies and practical solutions that can be deployed across PureHealth’s provider network.Provide technical guidance to the engineering team to enhance the quality and accuracy of deployed AI solutions.AI Solution Evaluation & Validation:Collaborate with the technical teams to define methods for evaluating new Al algorithms and solutions, ensuring the proper validation, and clinical utility.Assess the potential impact and risks associated with the implementation of different Al solutions, and provide strategic guidance on technology selection and deployment.Develop and implement a framework for ensuring ethical and responsible use of AI across the organization.Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:Work closely with the leadership, business, and clinical teams to advocate for strategic technology initiatives and to ensure that new solutions are aligned with the organization's mission and vision.Present research findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences, enabling leadership to make informed, impactful decisions.Contribute to cross-functional collaborations, ensuring a holistic approach to AI implementation across diverse areas of the organization.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics, or a related discipline.10+ years of experience in AI-related research and development, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.Strong understanding of various AI techniques (machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, etc.).Demonstrated experience in translating research insights into practical applications with measurable real-world impact.Excellent communication and presentation skills with a proven ability to influence diverse stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with publishing scientific research papers in leading journals or conferences.Prior experience in a research lab setting.Prior experience working in a healthcare, life science or biotech setting.Experience with establishing research collaborations and partnerships across different regions.About PureHealthPureHealth is the UAE’s largest integrated healthcare platform, committed to revolutionizing the nation’s healthcare ecosystem and advancing the future of health through innovation, technology, and world-class care delivery.Why Join UsAt PureHealth, you’ll be part of a transformational journey to redefine healthcare through technology and human-centered innovation.
