RoleThe Executive Director is responsible for the successful leadership, overall management, and operations of the organization according to the strategic direction, and policies set by Globeducate. The Executive Director is responsible for policy implementation and effective management of The Clover Schools.The Executive Director is responsible for planning, development, and implementation of age- appropriate programs to enhance the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development according to The Clover Schools’ mission and vision and the Child Care Early Years Act (CCEYA), Ontario Ministry of Education, CCMA, using How Does Learning Happen? Quality First and Public Health Guidelines.The Executive Director represents the organization to the greater community to further partnerships, advocacy objectives, programming initiatives, and community partnership goals.Priority FunctionsResponsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the organization in consultation with GlobeducateEnsure the effective management of human resources directly related to hiring, supervision, evaluations, disciplinary action, and dismissal of all employees in conjunction with the Leadership TeamResponsibilitiesLeadershipLeads daily operations while fostering collaboration with staff, partners, and regulatory bodies.Builds a culture of communication, accountability, and teamwork across all levels.Ensures compliance with legal standards and maintains professional conduct organization-wide.Strategic PlanningDefines clear goals with the leadership team and ensures they’re executed on time.Regularly updates and aligns the strategic plan with community and stakeholder needs.Secures resources necessary to meet organizational objectives.Risk ManagementIdentifies, evaluates, and mitigates risks across operations, finances, and reputation.Ensures appropriate insurance coverage and transparent reporting to Globeducate.Monitors financial health and supports Principals in managing serious incidents.Occupational Health & SafetyEnsures compliance with Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act.Promotes a culture of safety through training, monitoring, and proactive policy updates.Collaborates with leadership to address and resolve safety issues quickly.Policy ManagementDevelops, updates, and enforces all organizational policies and procedures.Trains staff on new or revised policies to ensure understanding and compliance.Reviews the effectiveness of policies and updates them as legislation evolves.Human Resources & Employee ManagementOversees recruitment, onboarding, and performance management aligned with legislation.Provides coaching, development, and mentorship to improve performance and engagement.Addresses conflicts, enforces accountability, and ensures professional growth opportunities.OperationsManages daily operations and ensures efficient service delivery across campuses.Balances the expectations of employees, families, and Globeducate.Maintains compliance, privacy, and facility standards through strong operational oversight.Marketing and AdmissionsLeads student recruitment and marketing strategies to meet enrollment targets.Builds brand visibility through digital marketing, community engagement, and partnerships.Oversees admissions processes and budgets to ensure sustainable growth.Financial ManagementManages budgets, tuition collection, and cash flow to ensure financial stability.Oversees bookkeeping, reporting, and compliance with Globeducate’s financial policies.Identifies funding opportunities and monitors expenditures to prevent overspending.Administrative ManagementMaintains accurate reporting and administrative systems across campuses.Ensures all operations comply with human rights and accessibility legislation.Coordinates consistent processes and standards organization-wide.Program ManagementOversees curriculum and program quality aligned with Montessori, Ontario, and best practices.Drives continuous improvement through evaluation, innovation, and collaboration.Ensures inclusive, child-centered learning environments and effective special projects.Succession PlanningDevelops leadership capacity through mentorship, delegation, and professional growth.Aligns job descriptions and responsibilities with strategic goals.Partners with Globeducate to create long-term succession strategies for key roles.Student & Family RelationsStrengthens communication and trust between families and the school community.Promotes inclusivity, respect, and engagement through family participation.Provides leadership in resolving parent and student concerns effectively.Community RelationsRepresents the organization in community and stakeholder networks.Builds partnerships to enhance visibility, collaboration, and resource sharing.Promotes public awareness and engagement with the organization’s mission and programs.ResultsPolicy and procedure-aligned operations, consistent across all campusesConsistent recruitment and retention of studentsPrincipals and campus staff are supported in delivering the School’s missionProgress towards a clear strategic vision and touchpoints to review progressProgress towards enhancing the school’s community culture, in accordance with the mission and valuesHigh quality of programming and experience is maintained across all programs and campusesAll campuses are effectively supplied with materials and any other requirements to deliver quality programming within budgetConsistent recruitment and retention of exceptional team membersRequirementsA proven record of 5+ years of operational management experience in an independent school environment, or equivalent experience in a similar organizationStrategic planning experience for a robust Montessori, education, children’s program, or a closely related fieldExperience managing budgets, risk, and teams of 50+ employeesCommitted to valuing diversity, with a growth mindset, and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environmentProof of a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector CheckParticipation in any other professional development opportunities as deemed necessary by GlobeducateDemonstrated knowledge, understanding, and training of the Ontario Human Rights Code, the Integrated Accessibility Standard (AODA), the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and Conflict
