JOB RESPONSIBILITIESThe Executive, Management Reporting supports the Head of Management Reporting in preparing, analysing, and delivering accurate, timely, and insightful management reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders. The role is responsible for coordinating the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reporting process, ensuring alignment between divisions and compliance with EPF’s internal policies, budgeting framework, and strategic objectives. This role acts as a key business partner in providing financial insights, variance analyses, and recommendations to support decision-making by Senior Management, and the Board. JOB SCOPE1. Financial Performance Analysis & Management ReportingAnalyse revenue, cost drivers, margins, profitability, and efficiency ratios to highlight risks, opportunities, and emerging trends to management to support strategic decision-making.Provide in-depth variance analyses against budget, forecast, and prior periods, supported by meaningful narratives and recommendations.Present key insights and highlights in management reporting decks for Senior Management, management meeting and Board meetings.Prepare financial analyses, management inquiries, and presentation materials for management meeting, Board Audit Committee (BAC) and Board meetings.Collaborate with divisions (e.g., Investments, Operations, HR, IT) to obtain relevant inputs and explanations for major movements in performance.2. Reporting Governance and ComplianceEnsure management reporting aligns with EPF’s accounting policies, MFRS/IFRS standards, and internal reporting frameworks.Maintain consistency in financial reporting templates, performance metrics, and commentary structures across all divisions.Support the implementation of new reporting policies, frameworks, or disclosure requirements introduced by Finance Governance or Technical Accounting units.3. Process Improvement & SystemsDrive continuous improvement in the speed, accuracy, and consistency of reporting (e.g. automation, standardisation of templates, self-service dashboards, better data sources).Work with Finance Systems / Digital / BI teams (e.g. ERP, data warehouse, Power BI) to enhance reporting structure, data availability, and controls.Document SOPs for recurring reporting processes to ensure continuity and scalability. 4. Coordination, Communication, and Stakeholder EngagementPartner with Finance business partners / cost centre owners / operations teams to explain performance, align assumptions, and provide financial insights for decision-making.JOB REQUIREMENTSPossess a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent which is recognized by the Government from any local or abroad higher learning institution recognised by the Malaysian government.Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, MICPA or equivalent) is an added advantage.Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in management reporting, FP&A, financial analysis, or financial/management accounting.Strong knowledge of financial statements and key financial/operational KPIs.Comfortable with data extraction, data validation, and reconciliation across multiple sources.Solid MS Excel / spreadsheet modelling skills (pivot tables, lookups, variance bridges, trend charts).Experience with SAP S4 Hana and reporting tools / BI dashboards (e.g. MS Power BI) is an advantage.Strong presentation-building skills (PowerPoint / management decks).Proactive, hands-on, and able to work independently with minimal supervision, while still being a collaborative team player.High attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines.Strong analytical thinking: able to interpret numbers and translate them into business storylines, insights, and recommendations.Good written and verbal communication skills, including ability to draft management commentary in clear, concise business language for senior stakeholders.Demonstrated problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills across functions and business units.Malaysian citizen.Obtain a pass in Bahasa Melayu, including an oral test in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.PLACEMENTFinancial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Unit, Performance & Reporting Section, Finance DepartmentJOB STATUSPermanentAll applications are strictly CONFIDENTIAL and only shortlisted candidates will be called in for interview.
