Expert Power BI AnalystLocation: 100% RemoteEmployment Type: Full-TimePrimary FunctionThe Power BI analyst serves as a technical analyst responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-scale analytics solutions that drive insight and action across clinical, operational, and financial domains.This role bridges business intelligence, data engineering, and product innovation, ensuring the analytics ecosystem supports data-driven decision-making for leaders across the organization.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis list may not include all duties that may be assigned.Enterprise BI development — architect and maintain scalable Power BI and Azure-based analytics solutions serving multiple departments (clinical, operations, finance, quality).Integrate and automate data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, and Databricks to deliver reliable and efficient reporting layers.Develop reusable data models and semantic layers to enable self-service reporting and accelerate analytics delivery.Partner cross-functionally with data engineering, IT, and data science to ensure alignment of analytics architecture, data quality, and security.Implement performance optimization and version control (Git, CI/CD) for BI products and datasets.Promote adoption of analytics products by documenting data logic, providing user training, and engaging with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet evolving needs.Drive process automation initiatives that reduce manual workflows and improve data accuracy and turnaround time.QualificationsEducationMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of advanced degree.Experience5+ years of progressive experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or data engineering.Proven experience in Power BI (advanced DAX, data modeling, composite models, row-level security).Strong SQL and data transformation expertise (Azure SQL, Databricks, ADF, SSIS).Experience building automated and governed BI ecosystems that integrate data from multiple systems (claims, EMR, operations).Demonstrated success translating healthcare business requirements into scalable analytics solutions.Experience mentoring developers and leading small analytics projects end-to-end.Licensure / CertificationMicrosoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (preferred).Azure Data Engineer or Databricks certification a plus.Certificate in Data Science or equivalent practical training desirableKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAdvanced SQL, Power BI, and Azure analytics environment expertise.Strong understanding of data modeling, performance optimization, and ETL design.Healthcare domain knowledge (value-based care, quality, utilization, financial metrics).Ability to communicate technical insights to non-technical stakeholders effectively.Strong analytical thinking, project management, and collaboration skills.Proven ability to design analytics products that scale and deliver measurable business impact.Performance ExpectationsDeliver timely, validated, and performant analytics products that inform leadership decisions.Strengthen data governance and self-service BI adoption.Foster innovation, continuous improvement, and technical mentorship across the BI function.Maintain compliance with all information security and PHI/PII protection standards.
