In our daily work, we enable our clients to transform their organization in order to win globally.What You'll DoAs an Expert Project Leader at BCG, you will manage project teams, providing strategic advice to clients on geopolitics, global trade, and critical investment decisions. Your focus will include advising on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Special Economic Zones (SEZs), cluster development strategies, and trade promotion. You will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders in both public and private sectors, offering guidance on supply chain localisation and infrastructure development to drive economic growth and competitiveness.You will lead project teams to deliver robust trade and investment strategies, advising clients on geopolitical risks, trade investment decisions, FDI, SEZs, and economic cluster initiatives. Additionally, you will leverage your expertise in supply chain localisation and infrastructure projects to ensure informed decision-making and effective implementation.Our Expert Consulting TrackThe Expert Consulting Track (ECT) is vital to BCG’s ability to successfully meet our clients’ demand for deep expertise and advanced technical capabilities. Experts deliver next-level impact for BCG's most complex and cutting-edge client challenges. Experts focus on developing BCG's thought leadership, commercial capabilities, and intellectual property assets; and their work is essential to our delivery model. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to bring the ‘best of BCG’ to our clients, Experts come from diverse backgrounds, with expertise often gained outside of BCG in industry, academia, or specialized consulting.What You'll Bring+8 years of professional experience, including managerial roles.Expertise in at least one area from each of the following two subsets:Geopolitics, Trade Promotion, Trade Defence, Trade Risk & Compliance, Intersection of Climate Regulations & Trade, Supply Chain and OperationsForeign Direct Investment (FDI), Special Economic Zones (SEZs) Strategy, Cluster Development, Export Promotion, Investment PromotionExperience Ideally CombiningConsulting experience within a high-calibre organization, including proficiency in project management, content development, and presentations.Private-sector experience in strategy, international business, operations, investment promotion, or international expansion of major firms.Public sector experience at regional or national levels, especially in foreign/trade policy, investment promotion, or infrastructure projects.EducationExperience in emerging markets preferred but not mandatory.MBA or Master’s degree from a top-tier institute with a strong academic record.Professional Skills & Other AttributesStrong client service orientation and commercial awareness.Proven ability to interact and manage senior stakeholders.Excellent analytical, structured, and problem-solving skills (hypothesis-driven approach, quantitative analysis).Ability to translate policy impacts into strategic business insights.Demonstrated leadership experience in project and team management.Strong capability in developing high-quality client presentations.Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.Excellent written and spoken English.Intercultural competence and experience working internationally or in multicultural teams are strongly preferred.Additional infoTravel, Cities and Infrastructure (TCI) Practice Area is one of BCG's newest industry practices. The PA focuses on Infrastructure, travel, transportation, cities, real estate and logistics which form a significant and very dynamic part of the global economy. Massive amounts of public and private capital are flowing into physical infrastructure upgrades as well as sweeping changes driven by digitization and the climate transition. Very significant public and private entities exist in this space with bold ambitions over the coming decade. These topics also have far-reaching effects in areas such as climate resilience, holistic liveability, sustainable mobility and equality. The PA collaborates closely with the Public Sector, PI, Energy and TMT PAs so as to bring the best of BCG to our clients.
