We have a long heritage of bringing innovation and expertise, continuously working to contribute to the growth of society and our customers.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst, preferably based in New Zealand, with flexibility to consider candidates across Australia. This role offers hybrid working. The position involves shift-based coverage, including availability for weekend shifts, to support 24/7 security operations.Responsibilities:Advanced Threat Monitoring and DetectionConduct second-level analysis of alerts, events, and telemetry across customer environments using SIEM and related tools.Validate, escalate, and contain high-severity or complex incidents in coordination with DFIR or Threat Intel teams.Correlate multi-source data to detect evasive or advanced persistent threats.Incident Response LeadershipProvide leadership during active events/incidents, including containment guidance, communications coordination, and impact assessments.Oversee the escalation of events from junior analysts, reviewing context and response actions for accuracy.Participate in post-incident reviews, root cause analysis, and lessons learned documentation.Shift Leadership and Quality AssuranceAct as the escalation point and mentor for junior SOC staff on shift.Ensure quality and completeness of shift logs, incident reports, and client ticketing updates.Lead handovers between shifts, ensuring continuity of operations and critical case tracking.Customer Engagement and Service ExcellenceServe as a key point of contact for customers during and after security events.Participate in regular customer reporting cycles and engagement management sessions.Provide proactive advice to customers on emerging threats and detection improvements.SOC Process Improvement and CollaborationProvide feedback on detection use cases, playbooks, and enrichment logic to Advanced Cyber Intelligence and Response Team (ACIRT).Identify opportunities for automation, enrichment, and SOC workflow optimisation.Collaborate with GRC (A&A), Pen Testing, and Cyber Consulting (Tech Consulting) functions on service enhancements.Required skills3+ years in a SOC or cyber operations environment, with at least 1 year in a senior or Tier 2 roleProven experience in handling and escalating critical incidentsStrong familiarity with security tools (e.g., CrowdStrike, Splunk, Sentinel, Netskope), SOAR platforms, and threat hunting methodologiesDemonstrated leadership in shift-based or operational security settingsExperience interfacing with clients, service delivery, or MSSP environmentsWhy Fujitsu?We are an organization with a strong set of values and a history of respecting fairness and equality, whilst promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
