Purpose and Scope (Job Summary)The F&B Captain is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily operations of the restaurant floor, ensuring excellent service standards and guest satisfaction. The role involves leading the service team, managing section operations, resolving guest issues, and supporting smooth F&B operations while maintaining the highest levels of hospitality.Main Duties & ResponsibilitiesGuest Service & ExperienceEnsure guests receive prompt, professional, and friendly service.Handle guest queries, special requests, and complaints efficiently.Ensure high service standards are consistently maintained in the outlet.Monitor customer satisfaction and communicate feedback to management.Team LeadershipLead and supervise the service team during operations.Allocate tables and coordinate staff duties according to business levels.Ensure team members follow grooming standards and service procedures.Assist with training new staff on service techniques and restaurant standards.Operational ResponsibilitiesOversee the setup and breakdown of the restaurant service area.Ensure cleanliness, organization, and readiness of all service stations.Manage table assignments, seating arrangements, and guest flow.Ensure proper handling of cutlery, glassware, and equipment.Coordinating with BOH & FOHMaintain smooth communication between the kitchen, bar, and service teams.Ensure orders are placed correctly and delivered to guests efficiently.Monitor food quality, portioning, and presentation in coordination with the kitchen.Cash Handling & ReportingAssist with billing, payment processing, and daily cash closing when required.Report any discrepancies or operational issues to the supervisor.Safety & ComplianceFollow health, hygiene, and safety regulations as per Dubai Municipality standards.Ensure staff adhere to HACCP protocols and food safety guidelines.Qualifications & SkillsMinimum 1–2 years of experience as F&B Captain or Senior Waiter in a restaurant or hotel.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Excellent communication skills and guest service mindset.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of POS systems is an advantage.
