Job DescriptionSalary Range: $56,506 - $87,431Essential FunctionsThe following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.Establishes a clear vision and direction for the corresponding facility (Central DeKalb Senior Center, Lou Walker Senior Center, Office of Aging Senior Center) in the DeKalb Atlanta Human Services Center catchment areas; forecasts the needs of the Center; works directly with internal and external customers to accomplish end results; writes plans and tests programs; responsible for implementing corrective action plans and compiles information from all of the liaising opportunities and determines what best enhances the Center and their relationship to the services offered by the County.Educates the community regarding the programs housed in the Center; assists the Center in satisfying the needs of the existing membership; supervises the activities of engagement in the Center; oversees membership services; works directly with contractors and organizations who provide services in the Center; establishes weekly programs at the Center; proactively handles escalated issues, member complaints, and scheduling issues; and works with Center leadership to host special events.Manages and directs the Membership Council; leads monthly meetings; ensures that membership works collaboratively on an informational and referral basis; processes information from meetings; prepares the agendas and minutes; mediates issues among tenants; plans and implements projects and programs to involve the community, government, and business stakeholders in the goals and objectives of the Center; and collaborates with local business associations, police precincts, local churches and other organizations (as planned or required.)Ensures a secure and healthy Center environment; coordinates facilities activities with County Facilities Management; creates and assures the completion of work orders; assures that all facility safety requirements are updated and in compliance; determines yearly operating costs and access occupancy; establishes CAM ( common area maintenance) costs; reviews market trends for Center operations facility costs; and negotiates fees with contractors.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration/ Public Administration or a related field required; five years of experience in facilities management or public administration to include lead or supervisory experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license.About UsAt DeKalb County Government, we enable career success by providing opportunities to thrive!
