Facilities Maintenance Technician

BrightKey is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician at our Odenton, MD location. We are seeking a versatile individual to join our team, capable of handling a diverse range of responsibilities including facilities maintenance and driving/courier duties.Position Overview:As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the functionality and appearance of our facilities while also providing essential transportation and courier services. You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to address maintenance needs promptly and efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. This multifaceted role requires a proactive and adaptable approach, as you will be responsible for a variety of tasks ranging from routine maintenance to special projects and landscaping. Driving duties consist mainly of delivering mail and parcels in the local area among company and client locations.Schedule, Benefits, & Compensation:On-site, First shift, Monday through Friday - 40 hours per weekMedical, Dental, & Vision and InsuranceParticipation in company 401k programPaid Time OffPay: $23.00 to $25.00 per hourKey Responsibilities:Coordinate and oversee maintenance activities facilities maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, parking lot, lighting, and other facility-related componentsConduct routine inspections to identify and address maintenance issues proactivelyLiaise with vendors and contractors to schedule and oversee repairs, installations, and upgradesPerform troubleshooting and repairs for facility-related equipment and systems as neededSafely operate company vehicles (typically driving small/medium vans, no CDL required) to transport mail, parcels, goods, equipment, and personnel between locationsMaintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine maintenance checksFollow established routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery and pick-up of itemsExecute special projects related to facility improvements or modificationsAssist with landscaping tasks as requiredAdhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols while drivingAssist with loading and unloading cargo as necessaryProvide exceptional customer service during courier interactionsQualifications:Proven experience in facilities maintenance, preferably within a warehouse or industrial settingAbility to operate basic landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowersValid driver's license with a clean driving recordPrior experience in courier or delivery services is advantageousStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectivelyExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesEmployment is contingent upon completing drug and background screeningBrightKey's commitment to an environment that supports equal employment opportunity and non-discrimination for all persons is at the core of our leadership and company culture.
