We’re seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead property maintenance and building compliance across our growing national network of centres.About the Role Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Facilities Manager will oversee Aspire’s property and maintenance operations, ensuring every centre operates safely, efficiently, and in line with building, fire, and council regulations.You’ll manage our Maintenance Manager and team, lead building compliance and defect rectification programs, and uphold Aspire’s presentation and operational standards. The role requires regular travel across Melbourne and occasional interstate travel to support our expanding network — a company-provided ute will be available for work-related travel.This pivotal position ensures our environments support the wellbeing of every child, family, and educator who walks through our doors.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all building compliance, safety, and maintenance across Aspire centres nationallyManage Essential Safety Measures (ESM) inspections, reporting, and rectification schedulesCoordinate with builders and contractors to resolve defects and maintain compliance certificationsLead and support the Maintenance Manager and team to deliver timely, high-quality maintenance outcomesManage key supplier relationships across fire safety, HVAC, pest control, waste, and cleaning servicesSupport new centre builds, ensuring operational readiness prior to openingPartner with Operations, Quality, and Finance teams to maintain compliance, safety, and cost efficiencyConduct regular site audits and proactively identify and mitigate risksAbout YouMinimum 5 years’ experience in facilities or property management (multi-site experience preferred)Strong knowledge of building compliance and Essential Safety MeasuresEPTAC qualification (Essential Safety Measures Compliance) or willingness to obtainDemonstrated experience managing contractors, budgets, and maintenance programsProven leadership capability and operational management experienceExcellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skillsUnderstanding of building systems, including fire safety, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing complianceDesirable:Experience in the education, childcare, or healthcare sectorsTrade or technical qualification in building or property servicesWhy AspireCompetitive salary, company-provided Ute, and professional development opportunitiesSupportive, values-driven culture: Grow | Learn | ConnectPaid Birthday Leave + Employee Assistance ProgramUp to 50% childcare discount across Aspire centresJoin Us If you’re ready to make a lasting impact by leading the facilities function for one of Australia’s fastest-growing education providers, we’d love to hear from you.Apply today and help us create safe, inspiring environments where children can grow, learn, and connect.
