Job RequirementsPOSITION SUMMARYThe Facility Technician II provides maintenance duties in Facilities across the Health First IntegratedDelivery Network (IDN) including Inspections, Repairs, Preventative Maintenance of buildings, groundsand applicable equipment. The Facility Technician II supports the adherence to all the safety, efficiencyand reliability of facilities by leveraging comprehensive knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, andPlumbing systems across all on and off site locations.Primary Accountabilities Performs various maintenance activities such as inspections, adjustments, and repairs onapplicable equipment, facilities, and systems in accordance with established schedules andworkflow procedures. Delivers excellent service to Associates, patients, and visitors, ensuring professionalism andcourtesy in each interaction. Supports continuous operational readiness of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing equipmentby diagnosing and issuing repairs on applicable equipment, often assisting with installation,repair, and preventative maintenance of facility fixtures, finishes, and systems such as lighting,ceilings, flooring and walls. Maintains documentation for all work conducted within the computerized maintenancemanagement system (TMA/FMP) by 24-hours of completion for each task performed. Assists responses to emergent requests, such as STAT calls to minimize possible downtimeand ensure safety of all Associates, patients and visitors. Maintains, stores and operates appliable tools and equipment, properly cleaning and lubricatingall equipment to reduce possibly maintenance service delays, while overseeing inventory ofparts, supplies, and materials as needed. Ensures adherence to Health First, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)facilities standards, applying all safety practices and protocols in all work performed.Work ExperienceMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Work Experience: One (1) year of experience in comparable maintenance work. Licensure: Drivers License and clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) maintained Certification: None Education In Lieu of Work Experience: Completion of Health First Facilities ApprenticeshipProgram. Work Experience In Lieu of Education: Additional two (2) years’ experience in comparablemaintenance work. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:Ability to provide and maintain required hand tools (job-specific power tools provided).Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.Proficiency with hand and power tools used in maintenance work.Ability to perform basic carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently, adapt to changing duties, and respond effectively toemergencies.Preferred Qualifications Education: Graduate of applicable Trade School.Physical Requirements Physically agile; may require walking, standing, running, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing,or crouching frequently. May occasionally include lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance. May require moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments includingtight and confined spaces, including reaching out and above shoulders, or overhead. May lift, turn, pull, push, or ambulate people and/or equipment with or without assistance up to90% of the assigned shift. May be exposed to inside and outside environments with varied temperatures, air quality,lighting, and/or low to loud noise. May require working with biohazards such as blood/body fluids and airborne particles followingOSHA and CDC guidelines. Communicating with others to exchange information. Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks. Workspace may vary from open to confined.
