Job Description
Role OverviewThis role will be responsible for the overall financial management and performance of the manufacturing facility. The Factory Controller will ensure the accuracy of financial reports, coordinate budgeting and forecasting, and provide crucial financial analysis to guide operational decisions and drive profitability.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and consolidate accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for plant operations.Oversee the month-end closing process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.Investigate and report on variances between actual performance and budgeted or forecasted figures.Oversee the factory's cost accounting system, including inventory control, cost of goods sold, and production cost analysis.Ensure overhead expenses are within budget and highlight potential overruns to management.Lead the preparation of the factory's annual budget and periodic financial forecasts.Partner with the plant management team to align financial goals with operational objectives.Provide strategic financial analysis and reporting to support the plant management team in decision-making.Actively seek out and support opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements within the factory.Assist with planning and analyzing capital expenditure requests, including calculating project payback periods and return on investment (ROI).Implement internal controls to protect assets and ensure data integrity, managing internal and external audits, and ensure compliance with corporate policies and accounting principles.Qualification & Experience RequirementsCA/CA Finalist with at least 5 – 8 years of experience in a manufacturing set up.Competencies & SkillsStrong analytical skillsLeadership and communication abilities to manage a team and convey financial information clearlySolid understanding of manufacturing and cost accounting
