Factory Manager (Food Engineer)

About the role We are hiring a Factory Manager to lead production, quality, and people operations at our İzmir site. The ideal candidate is a Registered Food Engineer in Turkey with hands-on experience in BRCGS, IFS, and Sedex, plus a track record of improving OEE, reducing scrap, and developing teams.Key responsibilitiesOwn daily factory performance for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.Lead production across multiple lines with OEE improvement, SMED, and loss analysis.Maintain HACCP and PRPs. Validate CCPs and run traceability drills to defined minute targets.Prepare for and lead audits. Achieve and sustain BRCGS AA or better and IFS Higher Level.Manage Sedex and SMETA requirements, including CAPA closure and follow-up with worker committees.Build and coach a high-performing team. Implement skills matrices, cross-training, and tier meetings.Reduce changeover time, material loss, and energy per ton through TPM and standard work.Partner with Planning, Procurement, and Maintenance to improve OTIF and cost per ton.Keep documentation audit-ready at all times.Use ERP and dashboards for transparent reporting. Candidate requirementsRegistered Food Engineer in Turkey. TMMOB membership required.10 or more years in a management or production leadership role within food manufacturing.Proven results improving OEE and reducing scrap and complaints.Strong knowledge of BRCGS, IFS, HACCP, CCP validation, allergen control, and traceability.Experience with Sedex or SMETA and closing CAPAs on time.People leadership with a team size of at least 30 across shifts.Solid problem-solving and communication skills.Working knowledge of TPM, SMED, SPC, and CI tools.Comfortable with ERP and basic reporting tools.Nice to haveExperience in commissioning new lines or major upgrades.Energy reduction projects and basic reliability practices.Netsis, Odoo, SAP, Power BI, or Minitab exposure.What we offerA visible leadership role with an impact on plant results.Support for professional development and certifications.Competitive package based on experience.
