Field Application Engineer

Role Overview: Beyondsoft Singapore is opening up with a new role opportunity as Field Application Engineer where the individual will take on the end-to-end development, optimization, and deployment of AI safety models on embedded systems for a DashCam product line. Responsibilities:Technical Support: Provide technical expertise for DashCam hardware and software development, including debugging and optimizing AI model performance. AI Model Development and Optimization: Develop, test, and optimize AI safety models for real-time detection of driver distractions, in-cabin threats, and unsafe driving behaviors tailored to Southeast Asian contexts. Testing and Validation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test and validate KDC features, design and execute test cases, and ensure product quality and performance. Hardware-Software Co-Optimization: Optimize hardware and software integration for better performance and cost efficiency, including edge computing capabilities. Project Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment, deliver technical documentation, and provide training as needed. Product Development and Deployment Support: Assist in developing new KDC features, ensuring compliance with safety standards and supporting deployment and maintenance. Requirements:Education and Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in embedded systems development, with expertise in hardware and software integration. Able to travel within SEA regions. Travel frequency is 2x times per month to China for up to 5 days in one business travel period. Technical Skills:Proficient in AI model development, deployment, and optimization, especially in computer vision and deep learning algorithms. Strong programming skills in Python, C++, and hands-on experience with AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch). Experience in embedded systems development and debugging, with knowledge of hardware interfaces (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART). Familiarity with edge computing technologies and their application in IoT devices. Experience in Android/Linux embedded development, including driver development and system optimization.
