Field Application Engineer

Organization & Role The Teradyne Field Applications group is looking for a highly motivated, self-driven engineer to lead customer engagement in the emerging market of SLT(System Level Test) . You will work collaboratively with the customer, local sales, and the Factory to develop creative and practical application solutions.Responsibilities Participate in key customer projects – including software development, debug, and production support – ensuring technical success. Provide guidance to customers in development of successful test solutions. Develop and deliver technical marketing presentations with clear and effective messaging. Continually develop deep expert knowledge of our products and use models. Continually develop knowledge of semiconductor test requirements and trends. Develop strong relationships with key customers. Working with the Teradyne engineering community, representing the customer in this emerging market. Develop knowledge and expertise on SLT system integration . Develop knowledge and expertise on Automated Test Equipment (ATE) - specifically the IG-XL family of Teradyne testers and optical metrology. Basic Qualifications & Skills Competence with general software programming (preferred .NET – C#, C++, Python ) and common algorithms and data processing . Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals (digital logic, high speed communication (USB and PCIe) ). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively both within a team and individually – planning, execution, tracking, and reporting. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills – a commitment to teamwork and “can-do” spirit. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to develop and deliver clear and effective presentations on complex topics. Can work under pressure with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. Basic knowledge about semiconductor device design, manufacturing, and testing Education Bachelor or higher degree in EE or related fields. Experience >8 years in a related technical field.
